Miller Cabin

Miller Cabin

Constructed in 1847 by the Miller Families typical of the first structures erected by pioneer families.
This building also served as one of the first schools in the area, when Mr. Miller brought a teacher from Kentucky in 1852 to teach his five daughters and seven girls from neighboring farms. Everyone lived in this house, with some of the children sleeping in the unheated attic. For a time, nearly 20 people resided in this tiny dwelling.
