Blackened Salmon
Texan’s love to cook with cast-iron. Flavors are enhanced and heat is conducted evenly.
For this recipe take out your 12 in. (or larger) cast-iron skillet. If you don’t own one beg or borrow. The taste will be worth it.
Be prepared for a lot of smoke..
*****Ingredients*****
*****Seasoning Mix*****
Combine ingredients for seasoning mix. Dip each salmon fillet in 1/4 cup melted butter coating both sides. Sprinkle seasoning mix on each fillet and press mixture in.
Heat cast-iron skillet until a drop of water sizzles. Cook fillets quickly on high heat 3-4 minutes each side.
Turn off heat and drizzle remaining 1/4 cup melted butter over them before serving. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds if desired.
