Texas Parks & Wildlife Expo 2008

The 17th annual Texas Parks & Wildlife Expo will be held October 4th and 5th 2008 at the Texas Parks & Wildlife Headquarters in Austin, Texas.  This is a two-day free event for your family, one of the largest events of it’s kind in the nation.  Activities and presentations include fishing, camping, kayaking, shooting, mountain biking and rock climbing.  Attend both days if you like as there is so much to do.  All equipment for the activities will be provided.  The 35 acre site where the Texas Parks & Wildlife Expo will be held is in southeast Austin at 4200 Smith School Rd.  A shuttle will be provided from Highland Mall, Macy’s side to the event.  Nearby Texas State Parks are Bastrop, Buescher, Lockhart and Pedernales Falls.  Make your reservations early (512-389-8900) if you want camp the weekend of October 4th and 5th as the parks fill up fast for this event.
