Visit our Mineral Wells State Park gallery. Located 46 miles west of Fort Worth Texas in Parker County Lake Mineral Wells State Park at 3,200 acres is a nice sized park with a small (646 acre) lake.  The Lake Mineral Wells State Trailway (rails to trails conversion) takes off here for a 20-mile-long hike, bike or horseback ride (you bring your bike, horse or comfortable walking shoes) to downtown Weatherford.  Another major attraction at Lake Mineral Wells State Park is Penitentiary Hollow, an area of boulders, sheer rock walls and narrow canyons attracting rock climbers from all over.
