September Festivals in North Texas

The third weekend of September, 2011 offers several choices of fun and activity for you and your family. The Addison Oktoberfest runs for 4 days, beginning Thursday September 15th through Sunday, September 18th. Grape Fest, In Grapevine, Texas also runs for 4 days from Thursday through Sunday. The Plano Balloon Festival will take place over 3 days, Friday the 16th of September until Sunday the 18th of September. And the Dallas RV Show is open for 4 days from Thursday, September 15th through Sunday, September 18th at Dallas Market Hall.

2011 Addison Oktoberfest

Said to be one of the most authentic Oktoberfest celebrations outside of Munich Germany, Addison Texas opens their Oktoberfest celebration On Thurday, September 15th with the fun continuing through Sunday September 18th, 2011. Four days of music, folk-singing, polka, sing-a-longs, german food and spaten bier may be enjoyed as well as a children’s entertainment area. Here is what you need to know for free and discount admission tickets.
Opening day of the Oktoberfest, Thursday October 15th admission is free for everyone from 6PM-11PM. On Friday, September 16th, admission is $10 from 6PM-Midnight. On Saturday the 17th of September ticket prices are $5 from noon-5PM and $10 from 5PM-Midnight. On Sunday the 18th of September tickets are $5 from noon until the festival closes at 5PM. Children under the age of 4 are free. Buy tickets in advance at a DFW Albertsons store for a $5 admission anytime. Food and Beverage coupons are $1 each or buy $50 in advance with an additional $5 free at the town of Addison finance building. Free Parking is available at the northwest corner of Dallas Pkwy and Arapaho Rd.

Grape Fest, Grapevine Texas

The largest wine festival in the southwest will be celebrated in historic downtown Grapevine, Texas on September 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th, 2011. This is the 25th anniversary of a wine experience that also offers live entertainment, arts and crafts, a carnival and midway games as well as a kids zone. For the adults there will be premium wines and craft beers offered with food pairings along with festive fun for the entire family. Grape Fest opens on Thursday, September 15th at 10AM. Admission is free all day on Thursday for everyone until closing at 5PM. On Friday the 16th of September Grape Fest is open from 10AM-1130PM. You may attend free from 10AM-5PM on Friday. From 5PM-1130PM admission applies. Grape Fest is open on Saturday from 10AM-1130PM and on Sunday from 11AM-6PM. General admission tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for seniors age 62 and older and $5 for children ages 6-12 years. Children under the age of 6 are free. A weekend pass can be purchased for $18 and with a souvenir pin $23. Parking within walking distance is paid only. Plano Balloon Festival

The Plano Balloon Festival will take place on September 16th, 17th and 18th, 2011. General admission is $5. A discounted admission price is $4 if you attend the balloon fest from 9AM-3PM. Seniors age 65 and older will receive $1 off the admission price. Children under 36 inches in height are free. Official parking in a prime parking lot is $10, parking lots with shuttle service available to the admission gate are also $10 while off-site parking is $5. The Plano Balloon Festival is open on Friday the 16th of September from 4PM-10PM, Saturday the 17th of September from 6AM-10PM and Sunday the 18th of September from 6AM-7PM. Dallas RV Show, Fall 2011, Discounts

The fall Dallas RV Show is once again upon us. Dallas Market Hall is the place for the Southwest Rv Supershow to be held from September 15th through September 18th, 2011. Adult admission tickets are $12 while children under 15 years of age are free. Here is what you need to know to get in to the Fall Dallas RV Show for $7. On Thursday, September 15th, all admission tickets will be $7. Seniors age 65 and older will be admitted on Friday for $7. Military active duty members with ID will be admitted for $7 any day of the show. RV club members showing identification will be admitted for $7 on Saturday and Sunday. A $2 off coupon that may be applied to the basic admission price of $12 or to the military active duty admission price of $7 is available from your RV dealer, or you may print it off the website, www.southwestrvsupershow.com. Parking is always free.
