The Dallas Arboretum rolls out the holiday season with the celebration Holiday At The Arboretum. Beginning on Friday November 28th through Wednesday December 31st the grounds will showcase winter blooms as children scurry through the gardens on scavenger hunts. A special exhibit of more than 200 Nutcrackers from a private collection will be on display at the historic DeGolyer Estate on the grounds. Tours will be conducted daily from 10AM until 4PM. On the weekends activities include horse drawn carriage rides ($5 per person), photos with Santa ($15 each) as well as live music and holiday arts and crafts. Wonderful Wednesday’s (December 3rd, 10th and 17th) feature workshops and contests. Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer will stop in every day and Mrs. Claus will hold story time. The Candy Cane Cottage and Peppermint Patch are wonderful opportunities for family photos. Admission to Holiday at the Arboretum is $8 per adult, $7 seniors age 65 and over, $5 children ages 3-12 years with 2 years and under admitted free of charge. Parking is $5.
