Texas Outdoor Family Workshop

No experience is needed for the Texas Outdoor Family Workshop.  Hosted by the city of Kyle, Texas located just south of Austin, the Texas Outdoor Family Workshop on Saturday April 18th and Sunday April 19th, 2009 will teach you the skills you need for a successful summer of family fun.  You will learn how to set up and breakdown your camp, how to safely start and tend to your campfire and tips for cooking in the great outdoors.  You may sign up for classes that include kayaking, fishing, archery, geocaching and learn how to use a GPS.  The Texas Outdoor Family Workshop is open to families with children 5 years of age and older.  The cost for a family of 4 is $90 and includes use of camping equipment, meals and classes.  Sign up early as space is limited.  Find more information at www.tpwd.state.tx.us/learning
